Today I am going to go ahead and pat myself on the back and give myself major brownie points for going to the gym!!! Still SO SO sore, didn't get home until after 2am this morning from work and got right up and at 'em this morning, made a healthy breakfast, went to the gym, showered there, and was back at work by 12:30. Whew! Did some more eliptical and am slowly starting to increase my treadmil walking to running... did a little over a mile today on that. Small steps to a small ass, my friend. haha.
How are you feeling today? Emotional? Sore? All of the above? Hope you had a great hump day (hey, I hear that counts as cardio!)

Yay for you, Em!! That is awesome, so proud of you. I don't have as exciting of news. I got home about 20 mins ago and was STARVING... so I am switching my rest from Friday to Wednesday.
ReplyDelete1) Bc it makes more sense to workout S,M,T - Th,F,Sa than it does to rest Friday and go 6 straight days...
2) Bc I'm pretty certain there is a medium sized rhino trying to ram it's way out of my ovaries.
Holy long day!!! Hopefully I'll be off school tomorrow and be able to get a killer workout in :)
I'm feeling better today, emotionally and physically speaking... but hell my tummy hurts!
Happy Hump day to you too, and yea - I totally count that ;)
xoxo
oh.. I'm so sorry for you and your ovaries!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd even tho you are taking Wednesdays off, doesn't that still make Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6 in a row?? You are one silly bean!
But I definitely understand the mid week break! I think Saturdays are going to be my rest days =)
I need to figure out which days are going to be all long cardio and which I am going to do little cardio warm-up and more weights. Lots of kinks to work out.
Love in Blogging!
The both of you are too crazy, I am cracking up reading this blog you guys created. I'm sorry you both are sore, but glad to hear that you're enjoying all your workouts. I am very excited to know that all three of us will be spinning on Monday nights at practically the same time. Go get your pump on ladies.
ReplyDeleteYES!! We have seduced Bubs to our blog!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about that!!! As well well as my SNOW DAY! YAY, gonna do my workout + run this am... I'll let you know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteIt's really funny that you said that about 6 days on... b/c as I was typing it I was counting in my head and I came up w/that same thing but was like, nah that can't be right. THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT? Ummm, there are 7 days in a week, take one off then there are six. I mean it follows the simple beers on the bar song, ya know? Anyways, I see what you're saying.
Since I'm still getting into the routine and trying to keep myself motivated, I'm only going to take one rest day (this week W, but most likely I'll keep that F). Once I get into my routine and feel comfortable with my consistency I'll take 2 rest days (probably W and Sa or S depending on my weekend). I think it's counter productive to not rest, and since I try to do cardio everyday my legs aren't getting much time off.
I'm right there w/you on the still planning your workouts. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Wii Active, ti's great, fun and makes me sore. However, I think it lacks cardio. I mean, they have a track I run for warm up/cool down but I'm running in place and it's like 3 mins. So I need to see where I want to add my running in at. Part of me thinks I should just add it 2 or 3 times a week and let the workout decide which days those are, but you know me... I like a schedule, so that's hard bc I want to know what my plan is for the day. I think it would be harder for me to cheat if it was planned :) that's basically what that translates to!
I'll work that out today!
HUGS
